Frequently asked
How long does it take to get my new mattress after purchasing?
We know once you make a purchase you’ll be excited to get your T&N goodies, so our team (and shipping partners) will be working diligently to process and deliver orders as soon as possible.
Standard shipping is available for free everywhere in the contiguous United States through FedEx Ground. Most shipping times are within 2-7 business days depending on supply, weather, and holidays.
We also offer White-Glove Delivery for $150. This experience includes in-home setup of your new mattress and haul away of your old one.
The shipping estimates provided on our website are up-to-date and to the best of our knowledge. We expect most customers to receive their orders within the timeframes listed at checkout; however, we are unable to set or guarantee delivery dates through FedEx Ground, especially during high volume periods.
What size mattress should I choose?
When it comes to choosing the right bed mattress size, you’ll want to consider not only the space available in the room but how many people will share the bed and how tall the actual sleepers are. Among the most common sizes are Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King and California King. Each size offers specific benefits based on individual needs. The Twin XL and California King cater to our taller sleepers. Queens are incredibly popular due to their versatility and affordability. However, if you are a couple who shares a bed with kiddos and/or fur babies and you have the extra space in your bedroom, you might want to consider a King. If you would like more detailed information on bed sizes, visit our comprehensive size guide.
All Tuft & Needle’s come in Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, and Cal King. The T&N Original is 9.5 inches tall, while the Mint is 11.5 inches tall and the Mint Hybrid is 12 inches tall.
The dimensions for the sizes are as follows:
Twin size: 39W x 75L
Twin XL size: 39W x 80L
Full size: 54W x 75L
Queen size: 60W x 80L
King size: 76W x 80L
Cal King size: 72W x 84L
Do I need a box spring?
The short answer is no, a box spring is not required, and you do not need to replace your current box spring if it is still in good condition.
However, continuous support is essential. Whether you opt for platform bed frames, slatted frames, bunky boards, or even an adjustable frame, they all offer proper support without the need for a box spring. Just ensure that the gap between individual slats is less than 5 inches to maintain optimal support.
If your frame lacks adequate support, such as with a metal frame or a platform bed that has slats spaced more than 5 inches apart, you should consider purchasing a box spring alternative like our box foundation separately.

What is T&N Adaptive Foam?
Tuft & Needle uses T&N Adaptive® foam, which is a type of poly-foam that is unique to our company. It provides amazing support and body contouring and is comfortable for any sleep position (back, stomach and side sleepers).
T&N Adaptive® foam is open-celled by nature, which means that heat and air can flow through the product more easily. This helps you to sleep cooler. The Original and Mint are especially good at motion isolation, which limits motion transfer so that when your partner gets out of bed or is switching positions, you feel it less.

Do Tuft and Needle foam mattresses use fiberglass or flame retardants?
All the Tuft & Needle Original, Mint, and Mint Hybrid components contain no fiberglass.
The fire barrier consists of a polyester and cotton blend knit fabric that has been treated with a food-grade salt. It meets the requirements of both the 1633 (open flame) and 1632 (cigarette) burn tests.
